Our most popular fence product for mini to small pets, this collar is ideal for smaller dogs like a Chihuahua or Jack Russell and up. We also use a weight guide of suitable for 3.5kg and over. (Also suitable for cats).
The dog/cat wears the collar. As it approaches the wire a tone alerts them to their proximity to the boundary. A low level static correction is issued with advancement and the strength of the correction increases automatically if it persists in its attempts to get closer to the wire.
Determine the boundary and warning zones you need, which may include ‘no-go’ zones, such as flower-beds, children’s play areas, fish ponds, water features, swimming pools etc. When choosing a boundary, its good to try follow natural boundary markers since your pet will easily recognise it. Wire can be installed by laying over the ground, burried 2 – 3 inches down, fed through a hose pipe, tacked to an existing fence or through a hedge etc.
The kit is made up of everything needed to contain one Miniature/Small Cat or Dog with 200m of boundary wire, enough to enclose 0.5 acre. If you need to include more wire in your purchase to cover larger areas see Boundary Wire Options under ‘How To’ tab.
